St. Louis, Mo. – The SBU women's soccer team fell on the road Wednesday afternoon, dropping a 3-0 contest to Maryville University. The loss moves the Bearcats to 2-4-1 overall and 0-3 in GLVC play.
Maryville took a 1-0 advantage into halftime before adding two goals in the second half. SBU's offense picked up after the break, recording seven of its eight shots in the final 45 minutes. Addi Shuler led the Bearcats with four shots, including two on goal, while Cece Alexander made five saves in net.
The Bearcats return home Saturday, September 19th, to host Lewis University. Due to heat concerns the game has been moved up to start at an earlier time of 8:00am.
