Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's soccer team battled Lewis University Saturday afternoon but fell 2-1 after a late goal from the Flyers. The loss moves the Bearcats to 2-5-1 overall and 0-4 in GLVC play.
SBU struck first in the 33rd minute as Jade Johnson scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Juana Fernandez Calvo. Lewis responded with two second-half goals, including the game-winner in the 83rd minute. Cece Alexander finished with three saves in goal.
The Bearcats remain at home Wednesday, September 23rd, as they host Missouri S&T at 4:00 p.m. at the SBU Soccer Field.
