Maryville, Mo. – SBU men's tennis had their two-game win streak come to a close as they fell against the #48 team in the Nation, Northwest Missouri. Final score read 2-5, as SBU moves to 2-5 on the season.
The doubles point went the way of the green Bearcats as they fell in the #1 and #3 spot. Senior
Alejandro Beneyto Sanchez continued his dominance as him and
Juani Morresi dominated their doubles match 6-1.
Beneyto brought that into the singles points as he won his 8
th straight singles game at the #1 spot. This time he won by final scores of 6-2, 6-2. Morresi was the only other SBU tennis player to win in singles by defeating his opponent at the #5 spot 6-3, 6-3.
SBU will take a week off before returning home on Saturday, March 21
st. They will take on Cowley Community College at John A Bryant Tennis Center at 2:00 p.m.
