Springfield, MO. — On Thursday February 19, the Southwest Baptist University women's basketball team went up against rival Drury University. The Bearcats fell 81-93 bringing their overall record to 7-16 and their GLVC record to 4-13.
Going into the game, the Bearcats knew it would be a tough battle with Drury winning almost every home game this season. SBU and Drury were neck and neck early into the third quarter, with SBU holding a slight lead five minutes in. Towards the end of third quarter the Panthers went on a 14-2 run to gain and hold the lead for the remainder of the game.
SBU's
Eviyon Richardson (#11) led the Bearcats, scoring a total of 23 points.
Tinu Fakunle shot an efficient 60% from the field with 14 points, the second most on the team.
