Bolivar, Mo. — On Thursday, February 12, the SBU women's basketball team went up against Rockhurst University. Last month, the Hawks took down the Bearcats in Kansas City, but this time the Bearcats dominated on their home court with a final score of 84-73. The victory brought the Bearcat's overall record to 7-15 and their GLVC record to 4-12.
The Bearcats and Hawks went neck and neck during the first three quarters of the game with the Hawks leading 63-61 at the end of the third quarter. However the Bearcats pulled forward in the 4th quarter, scoring 23 points while the Hawks were only able to score 10.
SBU's
Eviyon Richardson (#11) led the Bearcats, earning a double-double by scoring 23 points and securing 15 rebounds.
Natalia Crooke (#23) finished off the night with a total of 22 points, knocking down six three-pointers.
Tinu Fakunle (#02) joined Richardson by earning her own double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
