Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist men's basketball delivered one of its most efficient performances of the season Saturday afternoon, rolling past Quincy University 84–58 inside Pepsi Arena. The victory pushes SBU to 12–9 overall and 6–7 in GLVC play, marking the Bearcats' third straight conference win, all by double digits.
SBU controlled the game from the opening tip, taking a 41–31 lead into halftime before pouring in 43 second-half points to pull away. The Bearcats shot a blistering 63.6% from the field and 52.2% from three-point range, using quick ball movement to get open shots all afternoon.
Junior forward
Zac Reedus led the charge with a game-high 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Reedus also added five assists and two steals in a well-rounded effort.
Leo Gayman continued his strong play with 17 points and eight rebounds, anchoring the glass while adding two blocks defensively. His inside presence helped SBU win the rebounding battle 29–26.
The Bearcats' perimeter shooting proved to be a major difference-maker.
Barron Silsby knocked down four three-pointers to finish with 12 points, while
Lachie McKain was perfect from deep, going 3-for-3 off the bench for nine points. A key moment came midway through the second half when 6-foot-11 forward
Sasha Glushkov buried a three to stretch the lead into double digits for good.
SBU shared the ball effectively all game, finishing with 16 assists on 35 made field goals.
Luke Ogle helped direct the offense with a team-high six assists, while the Bearcats also contributed five steals and four blocks on the defensive end.

Southwest Baptist now returns to John Q. Hammons Court for three straight games, hosting Truman State (Feb. 5), William Jewell (Feb. 7), and Rockhurst (Feb. 12). All three matchups will have GLVC postseason implications as the Bearcats look to continue their climb in the conference standings.
