Fayette, IA – The Southwest Baptist University women's basketball team was hosted by the Upper Iowa University Peacocks Thursday evening, falling short 54-60. The Bearcats' overall record is now moved to 5-13 and 2-10 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Only down by 2 points at the half, the Bearcats had a field goal percentage of 33.3% percent compared to the Peacocks' 29.6%. Even though the Bearcats fell short in the end, they shot a perfect 100% at the free throw line as well as racking up 31 bench points. The Bearcats were also able to force a total of 18 turnovers from the Peacocks. Junior
Eviyon Richardson led the Bearcats in points with 20. Other top scorers for the game include

The Bearcats will travel to Quincy, Illinois to take on the Hawks of Quincy University. The game is set to start at 1pm on Saturday, January 31st.
