Bolivar, MO.- The SBU Women's Soccer team defeated Newman University Saturday afternoon by a final score of 2-0. Their second win against an MIAA opponent moves them to 2-0 to start out the year.

Addi Shuler led the Bearcats to the first goal of the game quickly within the first ten minutes. Shortly after that she played a perfect ball to her sister,
Annabelle Shuler who scored the second goal for the Bearcats. The Shuler sisters put the Bearcats up 2-0 heading into halftime. Attempting a comeback, Newman scored their first goal near the end of the second half making it 2-1. However, the Bearcat defense held strong for the remainder of the game to hold on for the win.

Kenadie Limb and Midfielder Samatha Mullen all had a strong match also putting up 90 in the minutes column.
