Springfield, Mo. - The SBU men's soccer team completed a dominant victory over Mission University Saturday evening, 6-0. This win moves them to 2-0 for the first time since the program resumed back in 2013.

The first half was a slow one for Southwest Baptist as they only led 1-0 off a penalty kick goal from
Victor Valero. The tempo picked up for the Bearcats scoring five goals in the second half. The first goal came off senior
Iker Lorenzo in the 56th minute off an assist from
Fisher Hudak. 11 minutes later,
Nadir Souak scored his first goal as a Bearcat with an assist from the prior goal scorer, Lorenzo.Â

It didn't take long for the Bearcats to notch another goal as Luis Sanchez Barbudo Cruz scored an unassisted one to put SBU up four. In the 77th minute, Fisher notched his first SBU goal with a penalty kick goal. Finally another senior in his fourth and final year, scored his first career goal in the 79th minute.

The Bearcats will look to take an undefeated record on the road to Searcy, Arkansas as they battle the Harding University Bisons. This game will take place on Monday, September 8th with a start time of 7:00pm.
