Bearcats Down Prairie Stars for GLVC Victory

Bolivar, Mo. — This afternoon, the Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team defeated the University of Illinois Springfield. Scoring one goal during the game, SBU brings another victory to their season, putting them at 3-5-1 (GLVC 1-3-1).

Senior forward Tamerra Gantt (#11) scored the one and only goal of the game during the first half, her fourth goal of the season, and was assisted by midfielder Annabelle Shuler (#7). Goalkeeper Cece Alexander helped her team take home the victory by blocking four shots on goal.

The victory required a whole team effort with 18 Bearcats making an appearance during the game. Only two field players, defenders Taylor Branch and Jadyn Clark, played the full 90 minutes.
