Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU baseball team finished their series against the Lincoln Blue Tigers splitting the day moving to 14-20 (7-9 GLVC) on the season.

Game 1: W, 5-2
Bearcats got off to an early lead in the first inning off an RBI from Tre Munging scoring Cole Reece. The all-time home run leader Zeke Skinner added to that lead with a two-run blast in the third. Followed shortly by solid base running from Lane Snow giving SBU their 4th run. The Blue Tigers attempted a comeback cutting into the lead with two runs in the 4th and the 6th. Dominic Tellez added an insurance run in the 6th with a sacrifice fly before Sam Peterson came in for the save.

Game 2: L, 12-14
While game one was a pitcher's battle, the second game transitioned to a hitters battle. Lincoln started on top with strong first two innings taking a 0-7 lead. The Bearcats proceeded to go on a 5-0 run off RBI's from Jared Pugrad, Raydley Legito, Skinner, Mungin, and Xie Ferguson. It was a two-run game until the 6th inning where the Blue Tigers doubled their score in the next two innings. Despite being down nine runs, the Bearcats didn't give up as the put up a six spot in the 8th inning bringing it to a three run game. Mungin, Reese Ruderman, and Mel Mulholland started out with an RBI apiece. Ray Legito kept the inning alive with a blooper to center that scored two more runs, then the pressure got to the pitcher scoring the 6th run on a balk. One more run in the 9th made it a two run game before the Blue Tigers secured the win.

Khalil V'azquez Torres started on the mound recording the loss. Jake Fuller shortly after came on the mound pitching 4.1 innings allowing two runs and throwing two strikeouts. Ethan Clark and Kelden Hastings also pitched at least one full inning.
