Bolivar, MO - The SBU men's tennis team battled Northwest Missouri State University in their first home action of the season, falling 2-5. They move to 6-5 on the season.
In the #1 doubles spot, Marcio Silva and Juan Morresi started things off right with a 6-3 victory. Alejandro Bravo and Bojan Radoman lost 1-6 in the #2 spot before Federico Riolo and Alejandro Beneyto dropped a close one, losing 4-6 in the third spot.
After Northwest secured the doubles point, Marcio Silva dropped a very competitive match where he was able to steal one set (5-7, 6-3, 3-6). After Alejandro Beneyto lost in the #2 singles spot (4-6, 3-6), Bojan Radoman gave SBU a spark as he won his match in two sets (7-5, 6-2). In the #4 spot, Alejandro Bravo won his first set 6-4 before dropping the next two. To close the singles matches, Jaun Morresi won in three sets (6-3, 2-6, 6-4) and Federico Riolo fell in two (2-6, 2-6).
SBU will be back in action at home on Tuesday, March 25th as they host Southern Arkansas University at 1:00 PM.
