Kirksville, MO - The SBU Women's Basketball team lost a tough one to the Bulldogs of Truman State University 77-84, moving them to 8-13 (6-9 GLVC).
Truman State started off hot in the first quarter shooting 68% from the field and 4-9 from three, putting them up 11 after one. The Bearcats responded well, outscoring the Bulldogs 18-12 in the second. The Bulldogs held a comfortable lead for most of the second half until SBU brought it back to within 4 with 27 seconds left, on a
Carolina Crawford layup and free throw. Ultimately Truman State held on.

Amber Storr led the way for SBU with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Senior
LJ Boyland nearly finished with a double-double, with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Bianca Oliver and
Carolina Crawford (2-2 3PT) each contributed 9 points off the bench and Senior
Tori Hamilton added 7 points and 2 blocks, which gives her a share of the all-time record for career blocks in SBU history.
SBU will return home for a matchup against the Rockhurst University Hawks on Saturday, February 15th, at 1:00 PM at the Meyer Wellness Center.
