Springfield, Mo- The SBU Baseball team fell short in double header games against Missouri S&T earlier Tuesday in a non-conference series. This moved their record to 4-5 on the season.

Game 1: L, 4-8
The Bearcats showed life late scoring all 4 runs in the 9th inning.
Jake Fuller put on a pitching clinic finishing with 8 strikeouts in about 4 innings.
Conner Hammonds earned his first homer of the young season to bring in three runs.
Jared Pugrad was the only other Bearcat to notch an RBI on the game. Junior
Lane Snow continues his good season at the plate, recording a team high two hits going .400.

Game 2: L, 8-13
The Bearcats got off to a slow start going down 0-7 before the 3rd inning. From then on SBU kept it interesting, making the Miners have to work for the win. The Bearcats tied their season high with eight runs but were unable to take the series off their conference foe.

Zeke Skinner got hot at the plate with a 2-run homer, his first of the season. He added 2 more hits and RBI's with only 4 at bats. With a home run, a triple, and a double in the game, Skinner was just a single shy of hitting for the cycle.
Lane Snow and
Mel Mulholland also tacked on a hit in the Bearcats high scoring affair.

The Bearcats will look to get back in the win column at home Friday in a doubleheader against Wisconsin Parkside, beginning at approximately 2pm.
