Bolivar, MO. - The SBU Men's Basketball team fell to the Rockhurst University Hawks 77-85 Saturday afternoon. This now puts them to be 7-15 (4-12 GLVC) for the season.

The Bearcats came out strong dominating the first half of the game. SBU continued to pull apart with the lead as they went into halftime in front 42-30. In the second half, the Hawks pushed back making it a more competitive matchup. Throughout most of the second half the teams were only separated by a few points until the Hawks pulled away going on multiple point scoring runs to win the game.

Breaking his season and career record of points scored in a single game,
Drenin Dinkins led the Bearcats today in points with 35. This is his third game this season with scoring over 30 points and he did so shooting an efficient 52% from the field. Senior
David Hector put up 10 rebounds this afternoon which almost matched his single game record of 11 rebounds. Even though the Bearcats fell to the Hawks in a close game, SBU beat out their opponents 20-11 in bench points and 34-28 in points in the paint.

The Bearcats will get to stay home to play their next game on Thursday, February 20 at 7:30 pm against the Nationally ranked Missouri S&T Miners at the Meyer Center.Â
