Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Men's Basketball team fell to the University of Upper Iowa Saturday afternoon 67-79 bringing them to 7-12 (4-9 GLVC) on the season.

Coming into this game Upper Iowa was receiving votes to be nationally ranked. Throughout the whole game it was a back and forth battle the Bearcats put up. SBU went on a 15-2 run in the second half which gave them the lead. However, the Peacocks pushed back to take the game late in the second half.

The Bearcats were led in points by
Drenin Dinkins with 29 points, giving him a 62 point week across two games. Another leader for the Bearcats was
Jevin Sullivan putting up 13 points and leading the team in rebounds with nine for a near double-double. Although the Bearcats took a tough loss, they beat out Upper Iowa 36-24 for points in the paint and 19-11 with fast break points.

Southwest Baptist will hit the road for their next game on Thursday in Liberty, MO. They will play against the William Jewell Cardinals at 7:30pm in the Mabee Center.
