Topeka, Kan. – The SBU women's basketball team began the Washburn Invitational against the host Ichabods Friday evening. Southwest Baptist fell in the game 47-70 to move to 1-2 on the season.
For the second time this season
Ida Lusadisu N'Gonda led the team in scoring with 16 total points shooting 50% from the field (6-12). She contributed across the other stat lines with four rebounds, one assists, one block, and two steals. Nine other Bearcats recorded points in the game with senior Natalia leading those scorers to go along with her three steals.
The Team will look to bounce back from this game in less than 24 hours as they play against another MIAA school in Northeastern State. This game will take place at 2:00pm in Topeka, Kansas.
