Indianapolis, IN - The SBU women's basketball team came up short against the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds 48-70 on Saturday. This moves them to 7-10 (5-6 GLVC) on the season.
After one quarter, the Greyhounds had a comfortable 18-10 lead and their lock down defense remained tough throughout the afternoon, holding the Bearcats to a field goal percentage of 24% for the game. For the second and third quarters, SBU kept the game within reach, but a strong fourth quarter for the Greyhounds proved to be too much to overcome. Despite being outscored in the paint, the Bearcats had great perimeter defense and battled on the boards.

SBU will look to even up their conference record as they return home next week and play host to the Quincy University Hawks on Thursday, January 30th at 5:30pm in the Meyer Wellness Center.
