Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's volleyball team hosted the Indianapolis Greyhounds Saturday afternoon in the Meyer Wellness Center. The Bearcats matched the Greyhounds early but fell in the end 1-3 moving to 6-9 (0-2 GLVC) on the season.
Junior
Ella Rademaker continued to stamp her name in SBU women's volleyball history in the game against the Greyhounds. Her 17 kills puts her at 797 in her career which puts her in 10
th SBU all-time career kills. This is now her 11
th straight game with double-digit kills and has a team-high 234 points on the season. Rademaker sits at 9
th in the GLVC in kills per set with 3.53.
Continuing to lead in assists for the Bearcats was junior
Katie Pogue who had 23 on the game and a team high 308 on the season. Pogue and senior
Julia Becker were the two SBU setters who found mostly Rademaker,
Hannah Jackson, and
Mya Leach for kills in the game. Jackson had a team high .417 hitting percentage in her 14 kills on the game. Leach was just behind her with 13 kills but also had a double-double with a team high 16 digs to go along with her two serving aces.
The SBU Bearcats will return to GLVC play next Friday as they travel to St. Louis to take on Maryville University. The Saints and Bearcats will battle it out on October 4
th with a scheduled start time of 6:00pm.
