Bearcats Draw 0-0 Against Tritons for First Shutout of Season

Bolivar, Mo - The SBU Women's soccer team continued conference play this Friday afternoon, taking on the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The Bearcats moved on to be 0-3-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in the GLVC after a 0-0 draw with the Tritons.

Freshman Keeper Cece Alexander had a standout performance for SBU, with a total of 10 saves for the Bearcats. In the final 8 minutes of the game, Alexander stopped a game-winning penalty kick after a handball in the box. SBU also defended 17 corner kicks, keeping a clean sheet for their first shutout of the season. 

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, September 22th as they host Lincoln University of Missouri. The game will take place in Bolivar, Missouri at SBU Soccer Field with a kickoff scheduled for 12:00 pm.
