Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU softball team was back at home Friday afternoon as they hosted the Truman State Bulldogs in a doubleheader. The Bearcats leave 12-22 on the season (1-9 GLVC) by splitting the day and gaining their first conference win of the season.

Emma Kreisel demonstrated control on the mound in game one, delivering an error-free performance with five strikeouts. On the offensive side,
Chloee Sams produced two hits, two RBI's, and a run for the Bearcats, which heavily contributed to the 4-1 win for SBU.

In game two,
Shalie Wooden was on the mound for all seven innings. Truman had an early lead on SBU, but the Bearcats scored both
Rylee Lunn and
Angelina Micone to bring the final score to 2-5, Bulldogs. Additionally,
Emma Vincent walked away with a season high in both hits (3) and stolen bases (1).Â

Southwest Baptist will return to action Saturday at home in Bolivar, Missouri as they host the Upper Iowa Peacocks. First pitch will happen at 12:00 PM at the SBU Softball Field.
