Bearcats Sweep Peacocks in Home GLVC Doubleheader

Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Softball team remained at home this Saturday afternoon for more conference action against Upper Iowa University. The Bearcats took home the win in both games, putting them at 14-22 on the season and 3-9 in the GLVC.
 
SBU owned the Peacocks in game one as Emma Kreisel pitched six strikeouts and was credited with the 11-6 win. The Bearcats cleaned up the stat sheet, recording several season highs during the seven inning game:  
With Paige Leithead on the mound in game two, her personal record moved to 5-5 as the Bearcats delivered a 4-3 win against Upper Iowa. Alyssa Reed went 3 for 3 in the batter's box, with Ragsdale contributing to two of SBU's runs. The Bearcats continued running the score sheet with more season high stats, Reed in hits (3), Frossard in putouts (5), and Hayley Sites in assists (5).
 
Southwest Baptist will return to action Saturday April 6th at the University of Illinois Springfield in Springfield, Illinois. First pitch will happen at 12:00 PM at the UIS Softball Complex.
