Big Rapids, Mich. – The SBU women's tennis team began a full week of games Wednesday as they traveled to Michigan. They began with a match against Ferris State and fell by a final score of 3-4. They move to 2-9 on the season.
Paula Ballesteros and
Giselle Garcia won their doubles game at the #2 spot 7-6, but it was not enough as SBU lost the doubles point. Ballesteros continued her great day as she won at the #1 spot taking the third set 6-2.
Elsa Pascual was the second Bearcat to win in the third set defeating her opponent 6-3 at the #3 spot. A little later
Leticia Luiz battled back to win 6-3 in the third set at the #5 spot.
Southwest Baptist will return Thursday as they take on Tiffin University and Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
