Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's tennis team returned home Friday afternoon at the John A. Bryant Tennis Center as they hosted the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The Bearcats fell to the Lopers by a final score of 3-4, moving to 3-6 on the season.
The Bearcats would claim the first point of the match in doubles play by winning the #1 and #2 spot. Illyes Khelifi and
Youssef Nabil won at the #1 spot 7-6 while
Alejandro Bravo and Pinto Pedro won 6-3 at the #2 spot.
Illyes Khelifi beat his opponent at the #4 spot with a score of 7-6 and 7-5 gaining the first point for the Bearcats in singles action.
Fabian Neff at the #5 spot gain another point for the Bearcats winning his match 6-4 in two sets.
Southwest Baptist will be back in action next Saturday, March 23, as they host Washburn University. This match is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm at John A. Bryant Tennis Center.
