Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's basketball team dominated Missouri Baptist Tuesday evening by a final score of 81-50 That win sends them into thanksgiving break with a record of 2-3, just before the start of GLVC play.
Odett Schlegl led the entire team in scoring, with an SBU career high of 23 points. This came off an incredible 75% shooting from beyond the arc making six three pointers. Behind her, each scoring the same 12 points, were
Amber Storr and
LJ Boyland. Storr continued her strong shooting from the charity stripe with a perfect 4-4 from the line. Senior
I'sis Brown came off the bench and contributed largely to the team rebounding with a career high eight rebounds. That helped the Bearcats lead the Spartans in overall rebounding 40-31.
SBU will begin conference action on Saturday, November 30
th as they host the newest member into the conference Lincoln University. The Bearcats and Blue Tigers will showdown together in the Meyer Center with a tipoff scheduled for 1:00pm.
