Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team fell to the Bisons of Harding University Thursday evening 75-84. That moves them to 1-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stellar shooting from the Bisons gave them an early 12-2 lead
- Multiple fast break dunks helped bring the margin down to seven numerous times
- Runs from the Bisons found the Bearcats trailing by 14 at half
- Bearcats never gave up as a 18-6 run brought them within two, just under seven minutes to go
- SBU was not able to get closer than two as the Bisons expanded their lead from there, winning by nine

- Two Bearcats led all scorers in points with Mitch Ganote and Jevin Sullivan each having 19
- Both Ganote and Sullivan were a close to a back-to-back double-double, Ganote with 9 rebounds and Sullivan with 8
- Ganote shot 56.3% from the floor tagging along four assists; Bayley Crawford matched him in assists while scoring five points.
- Drenin Dinkins had another game in double figures with 14 points and seven rebounds
- The Bearcats dominated the paint scoring 50 of their 75 points, and 20 more than the Bisons
- SBU also controlled the glass out rebounding Harding by 16

Southwest Baptist men's basketball will play in one more non-conference game before beginning GLVC play. On Tuesday, November 26th, they will host Manhattan Christian College in the Meyer Sports Center at 7:00pm.
