Indianapolis, Ind. – The SBU football team fell to the #19 ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds 3-58 Saturday evening. They move to 2-6 (1-5 GLVC) on the season.
A big mile marker was hit in the game when senior wide receiver
Jordan Kent recorded his 2,500
th career receiving yard. He had 59 yards in the game moving to 2,524 career yards, 5
th in the SBU record books. Kent currently sits tied for 3
rd in SBU career receiving touchdowns (26) and solely in 3
rd in yards per reception (17.05).
The Bearcats three points came from senior
Logan Turner who hit a 37-yard field goal seven minutes into the second half.
Regan Wilson was another receiver in the game who recorded a team-high 62 yards along with teammate
Kamau Ransom with 31 yards. Sophomore
Ricky Woodhouse led the team in tackles with 10 including seven solo and a sack.
Southwest Baptist will return to action next Saturday as they return home for senior day as they host Quincy University. The Bearcats will honor their 15 seniors at Plaster Stadium just before the 1pm kickoff.
