Bearcats Fall to Greyhounds; Branch Makes First 90 Minute Appearance

Bolivar, Mo - The SBU Women's soccer team wrapped up their home conference weekend this Sunday afternoon, facing the University of Indianapolis. The Bearcats moved to 0-8-2 on the season and 0-6-1 in the GLVC after a 0-1 loss to the Greyhounds.

Sophomore Taylor Branch had a standout performance in the defensive line, making her first 90 minute appearance for SBU. The Bearcats' closest scoring opportunity came from Senior Kylie Murie, with an upper 90 shot from outside the 18-yard box, saved by the Greyhound keeper. Additional shots came from Seniors Julia Johnson and Ashlynn Robinson.

The Greyhounds found the back of the net off of a corner kick in the 41st minute, and the game remained scoreless after.

The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, October 11th as they face Quincy University. The game will take place in Quincy, IL at Legends Stadium with a kickoff scheduled for 5:00 pm.
