Bolivar, Mo - The SBU Women's soccer team continued conference play this Friday afternoon, facing off Lewis University. The game ended in a 1-2 loss for the Bearcats, moving them to 0-7-2 on the season and 0-5-1 in the GLVC.
The Flyers got off to a quick start, scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes of the game. In the second half, the Bearcats held Lewis at bay and scored a goal of their own from a free kick by sophomore Taylor Branch, making for her first collegiate assist. Freshman Katelynn Young found the end of Branch's ball, and brought the score to 1-2 and earned her first collegiate goal in the final 3 minutes of the game.
The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, October 6th as they host The University of Indianapolis. The game will take place in Bolivar, Missouri at SBU Soccer Field with a kickoff scheduled for 12:00 pm.
