Springfield, IL - The SBU women's volleyball team took another conference victory, defeating the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) 3-2. Their season record moved to 12-13, 2-6 in the GLVC.
Although UIS got the upper hand in the first set, SBU came back to win back to back sets, followed by a finish in the 5th set 15-13, with
Janel Pido scoring an ace. Junior
Ella Rademaker led the Bearcats on the attack with a season high 24 kills. Junior
Katie Pogue also had a large contribution to SBU, with 34 assists, 10 digs, and 2 aces.Â

Up next for the Bearcats will include a 3:00 pm match against rival Drury University. It is set to be an exciting game as the Bearcats have won the last two each in five sets. It will take place in Springfield, Missouri at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
