Hammond, Ind. – SBU women's volleyball returned to action Friday as they took on two opponents in Roosevelt University and Kentucky Wesleyan. The Bearcats won both games in stellar fashion moving to 10-12 on the season.
In game one, SBU swept the Lakers 25-15, 25-19, and 26-25. It was a strong attacking game for the Bearcats as the whole team had a hitting percentage of .345 with 43 total kills. Sophomore
Hannah Jackson led the team in kills with 12 off of 21 attacks for a hitting percentage of .476.

Ella Rademaker each had double digit kills with a 11 a piece. Many of those kills came from the Bearcat top assister
Katie Pogue as she recorded 32.
The Bearcats kept up that momentum a few hours later as they downed the Panthers 3-1. Despite dropping a set the Bearcats outclassed their opponents by scoring 22 more points than them throughout the match. Junior
Katie Pogue reached a mile marker for her by recording her 1,000
th career assists in the match. Fellow junior
Ella Rademaker extended her double digit kill streak to 18 by recording 17 kills with a hitting percentage of .438.
Southwest Baptist will finish their trip at the Midwest Crossover Saturday morning as they take on Malone University. The game is scheduled to start at 9am at the Hammond Sportsplex.
