Fayette, IA - This Sunday afternoon, the SBU Women's soccer team faced Upper Iowa University for their second conference match up of the weekend. The game ended in an 0-1 loss for the Bearcats, moving their record to 1-9-2, 1-7-1 in the GLVC.
The Bearcats competed well, holding the Peacocks at bay for a majority of the game. Upper Iowa managed to find the net in the 81st minute, scoring off of a free kick into the box.Â
Junior Tamerra Gantt had a standout performance on the Bearcat offense, with a season high 3 shots, all of which were on goal. Gantt played 86 of 90 minutes for SBU, another season high under her belt.Â
The Bearcats will return home on Friday, October 13th as they face William Jewell College. The game will take place in Bolivar, Mo. at SBU Soccer Field with a kickoff scheduled for 4:00 pm.
