Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Women's Basketball were back at home tonight as they hosted the University of Illinois-Springfield. The Bearcats would put up a good fight in the first half, but it was not enough as the Bearcats fell to the Prairie Stars 70-83, making them 8-10 (4-8 GLVC) on the season.
The Bearcats were led by junior Claudia Vanzant who almost set a new season high as she put up 14 points to go with her 7 rebounds. Behind her was senior Kallyn Stumbo who had her second double-double of the season. Stumbo went 4-7 from the field, finishing with an impressive 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Fellow senior Karlee Holland was the third leading scorer for the Bearcats as she finished with 10 points. Juniors Odett Schlegl and Bianca Oliver both also contributed to the Bearcats as they put up 7 points respectively, along with Oliver's 8 rebounds.
