Kirksville, Mo. – The SBU Women's Basketball team was back on the road this weekend as they looked to secure a road win against the Truman State Bulldogs. The Bearcats took an early lead, but it would not be enough as the Bulldogs finished the game on top 75-99, moving SBU to 8-8 (4-6 GLVC) on the season. 
SBU was led by juniors Odett Schlegl and Claudia Vanzant who both contributed 12 points in tonight's game. Vanzant also tied her career high in field goals by going 6-9 from the field along with 4 rebounds. Right behind them was senior Karlee Holland who recorded 11 points and 4 rebounds for the Bearcats. Junior Tori Hamilton was efficient from the field with a .714 shooting percentage while recording 10 points along with 4 rebounds. Junior Bianca Oliver would lead the team in rebounds with 7 to go with her 9 points, while senior Kallyn Stumbo led the team in assists with 5. 
Southwest Baptist will look to turn things around as they now shift their focus to Saturday's matchup as they face GLVC newcomer, the Upper Iowa Peacocks. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM at the Dorman Memorial Gym in Fayette, IA.
