Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team hosted the Maryville Saints on a cold Saturday afternoon in the Meyer Center. Despite a high scoring game from Sophomore
Drenin Dinkins the Bearcats fell to the Saints 68-83. They move to 5-10 (1-6 GLVC) on the season.
Dinkins returned to form this afternoon scoring a season high 28 points off 50% FG percentage. This is his second highest scoring game of his short career at SBU, as he is averaging 10.9 PPG across his career. He was perfect from the charity stripe going 9-9 making him 93.3% on the season, 18-19 in the last two games. He went 3-6 from beyond the arc while recording five rebounds and two steals on the day.
Southwest Baptist will hit the road next week as they look to bounce back against the Truman State Bulldogs on Thursday, January 18th. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM at the Pershing Building.
