Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team returned home this evening as they hosted the Miners of Missouri S&T. The Bearcats fell to the Miners by a final score of 59-78 moving them to 5-9 (1-5 GLVC) on the season.
Sophomore
Drenin Dinkins led the team in scoring with 17 total points, nine of those coming from the free throw line. He also pulled down six rebounds to go along with his team high in points. Junior
David Hector contributed across the board scoring 14 points, pulling down six boards, and three steals. The entire team was impressive from the free throw line going 20-25 (80%).
Southwest Baptist will return on Saturday as they host the Saints of Maryville University. The Bearcats hold an all-time record of 8-1 against the Saints while winning the previous matchup last year 87-66. Tip off for the game is scheduled for 3:00pm in the Meyer Center.
