Arkadelphia, Ark. - The SBU volleyball team competed in day 1 of the Bettye Wallace Invitational at Henderson State today. The Bearcats split the day defeating Western New Mexico and falling to the hosts of Henderson State. They move to 4-3 on the season. 

Game 1 SBU vs Western New Mexico: Win, 3-0 

The Bearcats stayed consistent against the Mustangs defeating them 25-18 in all three sets. For the 5th time this season Ella Rademaker led the team in kills with 13 this game. She also posted a .393 hitting percentage, her best of the season. Senior Loran Pritchett was not far behind with 11 kills for a .343 hitting percentage. Junior libero Paityn Kramer led the team in digs with 18 while sophomore Bailey Lasater led with 21 assists giving her 100 assists on the season and counting.  

Game 2 SBU vs Henderson State; Loss 1-3 

Southwest Baptist couldn't keep the momentum rolling into the second game of the day as they took one set against the Reddies but fell in four. Pritchett led the team in kills this game with 13, Rademaker was right behind with 12. Sophomore Katie Pogue led the team in digs with 23 and added 14 assists.  

Southwest Baptist will return to action tomorrow for another doubleheader day in Arkadelphia. They will battle Keiser University at 10:30am and then Lane College at 2:30pm.
