Arkadelphia, Ark. - The SBU women's soccer team returned to action today as they battled the Ouachita Baptist Tigers on the road. The Bearcats fell by a final score of 0-3, moving to 0-2 on the season.
Southwest Baptist struggled early on the offensive end but put the pressure on in the second half with seven shots, two on goal. Freshman Savannah Green started the game on the right wing taking two shots, putting one on frame. On the defensive end, senior Madison Geren and junior Kendal Weiskopf each played a full 90 at the center back position. Senior Ashlynn Edison added four saves moving her into 9th on the SBU all-time save list.
Bearcats will return home this coming Thursday September 7th as they host MIAA opponent Northeastern State. The game will take place at Plaster Stadium with a scheduled start time of 7 PM.
