Edison Posts First Shutout of Season in Draw Against Riverhawks

Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU women's soccer team returned home this evening as they hosted the Northeaster State Riverhawks at Plaster Stadium. The Bearcats reached a draw against the Riverhawks 0-0 moving them to 0-2-1 on the season.  

Senior Ashlynn Edison posted her first shutout of the season, third of her career with seven saves. Four other Bearcats played the whole 90 in Seniors Madigan May and Madison Geren. Junior Kendal Weiskopf posted her third 90-minute game of the season. Sophomore Tamerra Gantt had her first 90-minute game of her career. 

The Bearcats will return to action this Saturday as they play host to Central Baptist College. The game will take place at 3:00 PM on the SBU soccer field.
