Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Men's Soccer team started their conference against the #18 team in the country, the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds. The Bearcats would fall to the Greyhounds and starts conference 0-1.

The Bearcats would start off strong as they kept the Greyhounds from hitting the back of the net until the 31st minute when the Greyhounds would find the back of the net. After many great defensive clearances from sophomore Dawson Sozio, who had 7 saves in the game, and the Bearcats back-line, the Bearcats would fall to the Greyhounds 3-0 after 90 minutes.

"We started the game well and created a few chances we could have converted. It is the first conference game and we were up against a good team in the GLVC. Our Goalkeeper Dawson Sozio had some good saved that kept us in the game. All in all, I saw a few good things that I hope we can build on within the next week. For now, our focus needs to be on the next game and how we plan to make the most of that opportunity," says Coach Sabelo Hlongwane.

The Bearcats will be back in action looking to secure some points on Sunday against Lewis University at 2:30 PM at the SBU Soccer Field.
