Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU women's soccer team opened their 2023 campaign this evening as they hosted the Harding Bison. The Bearcats fell to the Bison by a final score of 1-3.
The Bearcats one goal came from sophomore Tamerra Gantt who scored her first career goal as a Bearcat. Gant's goal came just moments after the Bison first goal notching the game at one a piece.
Another big moment for the Bearcats came in the first few minutes of the game when senior Ashlynn Edison made her 100th career save. She continued her dominance throughout the game collecting many more saves adding to her career total.
SBU women's soccer will be back in action this Sunday, September 1st as they travel to Ouachita Baptist. They will battle the Tigers in Arkadelphia at 1:00PM.
