Springfield, Mo- SBU women's tennis had two matches on Friday and Saturday against Harding University and Missouri St. Louis. The Bearcats controlled both games picking up two wins moving to 5-8 on the season.

Friday vs Harding: Win, 4-0
The Bearcats had their first sweep of the season taking down the Bison in stellar fashion. They started off the match winning the doubles point with
Ghada Dirninger/
Elsa Pascual winning 7-5 and
Lola Cincunegui/
Paula Ballesteros won 6-4. Ballesteros, Pascual, and Cincunegui clinched the win for the Bearcats all winning their singles points. Ballesteros won in the #1 spot, 6-1 6-1. Pascual won in the #2 spot, 6-4 6-4. Cincunegui won in the #5 spot 6-1 6-4.

Saturday vs Missouri St. Louis: Win, 5-2
For the second straight game the Bearcats won the doubles point, this time with Cincuneugi/Ballesteros winning 6-3 and
Polina Paunova/
Giselle Garcia winning 6-4. Ballesteros, Pasucal, and Dirninger clinched the win for SBU winning in the #1, #2, and #3 spot respectively.
Leticia Luiz added another point to the Bearcats tally with a 6-1 and 6-2 win in the #6 spot.

Bearcats will return to action this Thursday as they travel to Illinois Springfield to take on the Prairie Stars. The match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
