Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU men's basketball team looked for their second straight season sweep as they hosted the McKendree Bearcats this evening. Since joining the GLVC, neither team has won on their home court, until Southwest Baptist broke that tonight with a 75-66 victory. That moves them to 16-7 (8-7 GLVC) on the season.

"I thought for our guys to come out and put ourselves and really good position to play well." Head Coach Clark Sheehy said, "I was not surprised at all when it got to 2 and 1 in the second half. Because they have a good team and are playing with a lot of confidence…Our guys guarded hard and they still shot a pretty good percentage, but I thought our guys competed and that's something that we are very very proud of."

RJ Crawford led the team in scoring tying his career high 21 points. He knocked down four three pointers and went 7-8 from the charity stripe. Senior
Mitch Ganote notched another double-double scoring 17 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. He also had six assists with zero turnovers for a perfect assist-to-turnover ratio.

As a team, Southwest Baptist out rebounded McKendree 39-26, continuing to increase their big rebound margin. They also dished out 16 assists on 24 made field goals.

They will return to action this Saturday, February 11
th as they look to get revenge on Maryville University. Tip off is schedule for 3:00 PM in the Meyer Center.
