Box Score Arkadelphia, Ark. – The SBU men's tennis team returned to action this afternoon as they battled Delta State University. The Bearcats handled them easily winning 6-1, collecting their first win of the season moving to 1-1.
"We had a good bounce back today, it was an important win for us." Head Coach
Joao Almeida said, "The boys are playing well, they are working hard, and today they got the job done. I love the fight they showed these last two days, now it's time to rest and get ready for a battle tomorrow."
The Bearcats picked up the doubles point with
Makary Adamek and
Marcio Silva defeating their opponents in the 1 spot.
Ilyes Khelifi and
Mikar Fisher picked up a win off a default forfeit from the Statesmen. The Bearcats also picked up all but one singles point.
Makary Adamek dropped his first match of the season against the #22 player in the Nation.
Southwest Baptist will return to action tomorrow as they battle the #21 team in the Nation Southern Arkansas University. Game is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
