Joao Almeida joins the SBU Tennis coaching staff for his first season (2021-22) after spending two years as the assistant women's tennis coach at Fort Hays State University. While at FHSU, Almeida received a Master's Degree in Human and Health Performance and worked with the FHSU strength and conditioning program. Prior to his time at FHSU, Almeida was a member of the SBU men's tennis team from 2015-19. As an athlete, Almeida was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll three times and was a two-time recipient of the ITA Scholar Athlete Award. Almeida will pursue a Master of Business Administration at Southwest Baptist.
