Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's basketball team hosted the Quincy Hawks this evening. The Bearcats fell behind early and couldn't rally back falling 64-78. This moves them to 12-15 (6-13 GLVC) on the season.
Junior
Tori Hamilton led the team in scoring with 15 points and a near double-double with eight boards. Sophomores
Kelsey Blakemore and
Emma Perry each tagged along 12 points and 10 points respectively. Junior
Teagan Brouwer came off the bench and gave a big spark to the Bearcats as she hustled on both ends of the floor picking up points, rebounds, and steals. She ended the game with six points, a perfect 3-3 from the field, and five rebounds.
Southwest Baptist will return this Saturday for senior day against the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars. The Bearcat women's basketball team will honor seniors
Natalie Basham and
Leikyn Walker. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
