Romeoville, Ill. – The SBU women's basketball team began their final road trip of the season this evening as they took on Lewis University. The Bearcats fell behind early and made a strong attempt at the comeback but fell just short losing 60-71. This moves them to 12-13 (6-11 GLVC) on the season.

Tori Hamilton led the team with 19 points shooting 9-14 from the field while also recording six rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Tori 42 blocks on the season setting a new SBU single season record. The previous record was held by Casey Beavers which she held for 17 years.
Kelsey Blakemore was next in scoring with 15 points which is her 8
th straight game recording double digit points. In the past 11 games she has scored 176 points averaging 16 per game, one of the best stretches by any player in the conference.
Claudia Vanzant pitched in 10 points, six rebounds, and a career high 5 assists.
Southwest Baptist will travel to University of Indianapolis this Saturday, February 18th to take on the Greyhounds. With just three games remaining the Bearcat sit right on the cusp of making the conference tournament, making every game important. Tip off for this game is scheduled for 12:00 PM CST.
