Quincy, Ill. - The SBU women's soccer team continued their trip on the road this afternoon as they battled the Quincy Hawks. The Bearcats unbeaten streak came to an end as they fell 0-1. They move to 3-7-3 (1-5-2 GLVC) on the season.
The Bearcats put the pressure on throughout the whole game but were unable to find the back of the net. The ladies took 17 total shots with 12 of them finding the frame. The Hawks freshman goalkeeper had a career game stopping all 12 shots for a career high. Seven different Bearcats had shots on the frame, but senior Allyson Lieber led the team with three shots on goal.
SBU will take a week off before returning to play next Sunday. They will travel just south of Bolivar to Springfield for a rival matchup against Drury. The game is scheduled to take place at 12:00 pm at Curry Sports Complex.
