Kirksville, Mo. – The SBU women's basketball team looked to have a season sweep of the Truman State Bulldogs this afternoon. After a hard-fought game that included 15 ties and 14 lead changes the Bearcats fell to the Bulldogs 64-70. That moves the Bearcats to 9-9 (2-7 GLVC) on the season.

Claudia Vanzant was all over the court recording her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds, six of them being offensive. Nine other Bearcats made it into the scoring column with
Kelsey Blakemore being the next leading scorer with nine. The Bearcats controlled the glass again out rebounding the Bulldogs with many extra chances pulling down 16 offensive boards.
The Bearcats will return home this Thursday, January 19
th as they play host to the Rockhurst Bulldogs. Tipoff for the game is scheduled for 5:30 PM in the Meyer Wellness Center.
