Quincy, Ill. – The SBU women's basketball team continued their road stretch this afternoon as they took on the Quincy University Hawks. The Bearcats fell in the final minutes to the Hawks 59-63. This moves them to 8-8 (2-6 GLVC) on the season.
The Bearcats bench made up for 77% of their scoring with 46 total points coming off the bench today. Sophomore
Kelsey Blakemore led the entire team for the second straight game scoring 16 points this afternoon. She tagged along three assists and four rebounds.
They will finish up their road trip on Monday as they have their first repeat game of the season against Truman State. The Bearcats defeated the Bulldogs at home right before Christmas break with a 72-59 victory. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:15 PM.
